RSH Architects was commissioned to design a 22,000 square foot apartment building with 25 housing units. The project is located on the Califorina- Kirkbride District of the City of Pittsburgh, The Northside Coalition Apartments is reminiscence of the surrounding neighborhoods. Each 540 square foot unit consists of a one bedroom apartment with a living room with dining area, full kitchen, full bath and foyer with air conditioning, carpeting, and window treatments. In addition, the building includes a small management office, a large community-activity room with cooking amenities, and a full laundry facility. Its open floor plan encourages senior residents to use the entire facility, while conveniences such as shallow rise stairs and an elevator allow for easy access throughout the three-story building.
