St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church is a well-established congregation located in downtown Somerset, PA. RSH Architects was first commissioned to provide a feasibility study to reuse their existing facilities. This study, along with a design for expansion to an adjacent parcel of land, led the congregation to consider other options for expansion. These options included moving to an entirely different site, primarily due to the limited land available to them on their existing property. An open field north of the downtown became available to the church and RSH Architects provided the preliminary design for a complete complex, including a new church, fellowship hall, preschool and Christian education classrooms.
